JTS Special

The JTS Special tool was specifically developed with the Jindabyne Trail Stewardship and is an adults version of our original kids tool that we made for them almost 10 years ago. The shape combines the same features as our Pro Trail Tool, with the rake teeth moved to the long edge. This tools comes with our 130cm handle which is the most common length available offering good reach and ease of use.

• Short and wide rake teeth are stiff and strong for busting dirt clumps. Set at 5% angle when the end rake teeth are held vertical, allowing quick trail alignment checks and trail outslope - see tech page on how this works
• Unique curved scraper edge is great for shaping corners, drains and other trail features
• Flat scraping and cutting edge
• Sharpened V notch cutting edge easily chips and digs hard dirt or cuts tree roots
• Bolt together construction allows for easy parts replacement or maintenance
• Tool head focused weight balance making swinging motion more effective

Made from hardened Australian made high carbon spring steel, the 3mm thickness is thicker than most other Rakehoe's on the market and provides long lasting durability, toughness and strength, yet is thinner than trail tools made from wear plate steel, keeping the weight of the tool down, even for it's size.

The 130cm pultruded fibreglass handle is 32mmm diameter and has a slight texture for added grip. The shock absorbing qualities of the handle is better than timber alternatives, yet it is still incredibly strong and durable. This is clamped into our large aluminium connector and bolted together using M8 stainless steel carriage bolts and nylock nuts for strength and easy servicing.
